The Earth Day



 
“Earth Day” is celebrated on April 22nd, as a way to call people’s attention to the conservation of biodiversity, to educate them to keep natural resources, and to make clear other environmental issues to protect the Planet. Every year Green International Organization organizes campaigns against environmental destruction and creates   universal alertness of pollution problems.

It is true that Governments need to formulate laws to take care of the planet, but you also can make a difference on Earth conservation. The Earth needs your hands and by doing simple things you can help:  Take into account these suggestions, keep in mind these tips that will preserve lives in the planet:

First: Turn any electronic equipment off when you are not using them.  Use technology that reduces the use of energy and water can also help.

Second: Don’t make much noise.   Avoid causing noise when you are listening to the radio, driving your car or doing other activities reduces people’s stress. Noise is a way of contamination.
  .
Third: Don’t buy “air fresheners" or other products that can destroy the ozone layer or contaminate the air. You can use natural products such as plants and flowers to ventilate the rooms.

Fourth: use rechargeable batteries in all electronic equipment  that require them, in this way you are saving money  and are helping to reduce environmental degradation.

Fifth: Recycle or reuse things as much as possible. This will help to reduce environmental degradation too.

Sixth: put your refrigerator away from the stove or some other source of heat, help to consume less energy.

Seventh: Reduce water usage. Do not leave water running while brushing your teeth, washing the dishes, taking a bath or doing other activities. In addition to saving money it is a way to save the blue world.
 
Eighth: Work together. You should always remember that saving water, electricity and generating less waste is a way to save the planet.

ENVIRONMENT DAY

People celebrate the World Environment Day every year, since June 5th, 1973, when it was established by the United Nations General Assembly.

This special day has as an objective to alert the global community about the consequences of the bad use of natural resources. It is also a called to take political and social action to protect the environment, and motivate people to become active agents of sustainable development. In addition, this day promote a change of attitude towards environmental issues and promote cooperation to guarantee that all nations and people will enjoy a safer and more prosperous future.
